Thanks for getting back to me , having an interview is absolutely fine ,I just thought that if you had a passport as a child you didn’t need an interview for a first adult passport I must have read it wrong,I was just worried as my first child passport was American my mother passed away years ago and I have no idea if it was cancelled I no it was not used ,didnt no if this would cours a delay in the application process, thanks

They did not even ring our bell so please be aware of this if you have pooches that like to chew. So from been approved on Friday to been delivered today for anyone at that stage. Thanks to everyone won this forum who shared there timelines as that was our only hope. Wish everyone the best of luck on receiving your one.
userleftSpectatorUpdate on my sons renewal. Today it has changed to application approved, as mentioned in earlier correspondence that is 20 days from documents received. I think the next stage is they send it out so maybe within the week. Others have been only days from this stage.

Find out which FedEx/TNT depot the passport is with HMPO and go and get it. That’s what I did or had to do and I took my passport and driving licences as proof of identity. They just need a consignment number which you can find online with your PEX number xuserleftSpectatorWe had no verify stage, only application submitted, application received then document received.
userleftSpectatorHi,just the old passport for our sons renewal. Our 20 days will be Friday from documents received so hoping it’s the case for us.. I will update on here
userleftSpectatorYup apparently the old passport was application was completed by the mother and this tome my friend the dad applied and because of that had to prove paternal responsibility. If we had known that at the time of sending the okd passport in, he would have done that and we’d have the passport by now. The same works the other way round so if he had applied for the the last passport and his exwife wanted to applied for a new passport she would have to prove maternal responsibility or at least that’s what the HMPO guy said today. Last week someone told us it was just the fathers who had to do that. Whichever way it is it has slowed the whole process up again even though the passport application is with the examiners. 🤯 x
userleftSpectatorHow long did it take for your child’s birth certificate to get processed. Our application is in Examination. The birth certificate was signed for on Thursday 14th Oct at 08:13 Liverpool. Many thanks!

userleftSpectatorHi Lianne,
Thank you very much, We will call that number tomorrow.
userleftSpectatorCan anyone share the number they are managing to talk with someone on. TIA
userleftSpectatorAs far as I can tell whatever date you made the application online you should have the passport back within the month. Unless they lose yours…like they’ve done with mine x
userleftSpectatorHi, I am roughly on par with everyone else’s timelines here for my child’s renewal passport. Which number is everyone calling to actually speak with someone at the Durham office? I can’t seem to get past the robot stage of the repeated message saying there too busy to answer the call and I get cut off! Very frustrating. Any help in the numbers would be greatly appreciated.
