I submitted my application on 28 September without knowing that I had to send my foreign passport and my citizenship certificate. So because I had to travel I sent them almost a month later, on 24th October. The documents arrived 2 days later because of the Royal Mail strike. They processed my documents on 27th Oct. But from that day it took exactly 2 weeks to get my passport delivered.

After the passport was printed on 9th November I’ve got this message:
“Your new passport will be transferred to our delivery supplier in the next few days. When it’s ready for delivery, they will contact you with a tracking reference.”
Although I haven’t got any tracking information, I could just go on TNT Express website, introduce my postcode and application reference number and tracking it right there. The passport arrived the next day, on 10th Nov.
So, for my First UK Adult Passport, it took 2 weeks to get it from the time they received my supporting documents. Very good service. It’s just discouraging to read on the official website that you must allow up to 10 weeks! It was only 2 weeks for me.

I really thought i would wait for 10 weeks and it has been 17 working days all together. Received my passport printed message on the 9/11/22 and my passport was delivered next day on the 10th by 1pm. Excellent experience.

The turnaround time was so fast. I paid for “signed for on delivery” when I sent my old passport back (I did this the day after I’d completed the renewal online the previous evening). The passport office received the old one on the Thursday morning and my new passport was delivered the following Tuesday ie exactly one week after completing my online application.

I reside abroad & so had to submit my old passport via ups international from the USA. Application/ payment/ digital photo uploaded to UK Abroad who charged a lot, but were reasonably helpful with shipping, labels, etc. They assign a consultant, so there is a consistent email contact.

Sent my documents to the UK from Hong Kong by Speedpost on 13/10, but delivery was delayed because of the UK postal workers’ strike. Documents arrived at the Liverpool Office on 25/10. Application approval was approved on 05/11. Passport printed and delivered from the UK on 07/11. I received my passport in HK on 10/11.
Pleasantly surprised at how efficient the process was, since my application involved a lost passport and name change.
