Good – but cutting it fine. Passport applied for on 26/8/22 then received an email asked to confirm name change on 17/8/22 – there was no name change which was odd – had to confirm by post there was no name change.
Didn’t hear anything until 14/9/22 when we received an email saying passport was being printed – then arrived next day delivery.
We fly on 29/9/22 so very grateful for the fast turn around.

Applied online with a photo I took myself on an iPhone, the photo was pre-approved by the Gov website, sent the old passport by registered next day delivery and was lucky the whole process was dealt with amazingly quickly, just under 3 weeks from start to finish. The passport was processed at the Peterborough Office.

Passport office experience really quick and painless, though not overly friendly and passport was printed the next day. Five days for TNT to deliver, with old passport being returned first.
