Can’t complain considering others experience. My boyfriend did everything at the same time as me and is still waiting tough. We posted the passports in the same day and his for some reason only appeared as received one day later and no update since.

Fast track passports take longer than standard! I was hoping to head to France from Leeds around 26 Aug, then realised my passport was issued on 22 Aug 2012 (expires Feb 2023). Grrr. Went to post office for a form on 1 Aug to fast track it. Going on website, the first appointment was on 22 Aug, which plus a week delivery, makes the “Fast Track” at least a month long. And where was the only office offered? Belfast! I mean, I want a passport to go on holiday, NOT go on holiday to get a passport!! As for the “on the day” option – not currently offered “due to Covid”. So, I resigned myself to a ten week wait, and applied online on 3 Aug. On 19 Aug, I got a text saying it is printed and ready and in the hands of the courier, and it arrived 3 days later, on the very first day I could have gone for a “fast track” appointment, having paid for a return flight to Ireland! So, very pleased with the speed, but now have to re-arrange a holiday asap which I’d given up on.
