No email from TNT to confirm receipt of passport or emails with delivery date had to track from passport office email stating sent.

HMPO slow to update tracker after receiving documents – 11 days. Also quite slow sending, received passport 8 days after printing.

It took a week and a half for the passport office to confirm they had received my old passport, and once the passport had been approved and sent, I heard nothing from TNT until it dropped through my letter box a week later

Renewal with a name change. No countersignature needed. Documents received 18/02/22. Application approved 01/03/22. Passport sent 03/03/22 but not received until 07/03/22.

Overall a quick turnaround of 3 weeks, which would have been less if TNT had delivered when they originally said. Like others on here it took a week for the passport office to confirm receipt of the old passport, but I did post it 2nd class so that’s about right. No notification from TNT about delivery of the new passport but I was able to track it.

Although photo came up as “good “when submitted it still wasn’t accepted and we had to send a new one . Took new one with different device so perhaps better resolution helped as it was accepted next day. Probably only delayed application by couple days.

Took 7 days from Passport being printed and receiving it.

The annoyance was the no information between the passport arriving at passport office (tracked) and then ‘receiving’ it was nearly 2 weeks. Rest of the process was very quick.

Very good level of information about where my application was in the process, very happy.

Took 11 days to arrive from day of approval. 🙁

Delivery was poor as no notice was given and TNT did not press buzzer for entry to the flat so had to arrange redelivery but the actual application process was easy.

Passport office very good service. TNT delivery slow Liverpool to Bournemouth took seven days.

No up to date tracking information – passport delivered completely unannounced.

Took 12 days from receiving the docs according to the Royal Main to update as ‘Received’, and took another week from Printing/Sent to being received.

Very easy. I took my photo on my iPhone (my friend took it for me) with flash on which helped a lot. It was accepted. It took about 2 weeks for them to register on the system as receiving my old one (I’d sent it the day after I applied for my passport initially) and then only a few days later it had been approved, a few days later it was being printed then a day or two later it was dispatched and then a day or so later it arrived:)

The wait between sending and logging receipt was the most stressful. Mostly because I only allowed myself 4.5 weeks before my trip.

I was initially stressed as I sent out my passport next day delivery and only got a text that it had been received 2 weeks later even though I tracked and saw it was delivered. To do the application only took about 5 days and then it was with the delivery couriers for 5 days!

Even though Royal Mail tracking said it had been delivered on Friday 25th, my application tracker didn’t show as “documents received” until March 5th. The process sped up after this, with my application approved on the 9th and the passport printed and sent on the 11th.

Travelling soon and was stressful waiting. Staff were very helpful on the helpline and our note in my application.

Quite quick, the slowest part was them receiving the passport which took around 10 days. It was then approved around 9 days later and sent back 4 days after that. Pretty speedy but I did allow 4 months before my holiday.

Took 7 days from “Your new passport is on its way” email to having it in my hand. Tracking from TNT went live 6pm the day before delivery.

Took exactly 2 weeks from submitting online adult renewal to having new passport in my hand. This was Liverpool office.

Documents took 10 days to be linked to my application and I was then in processing for 2 1/2 weeks before approval.

Worst customer experience I’ve had, application was approved after 3 weeks yet took 10 days to be delivered. Ended up having to collect from the depot. HMPO disregard customer concerns and tell customers inaccurate information over the phone about your application without even taking any details, just another number to them. Don’t recommend any part of this service apart from my local TNT depot who allowed me to collect from them.
