Very odd process. I was first told that as a newly naturalised citizen I would need an interview, and signed up for the first available one (a month later). However, a few weeks later I was told that the interview was no longer required and that my passport was approved. No reason provided. It also took weeks to return my original passport, which I requested due to a sick family member abroad and HMPO repeatedly promised would be sent back early. Full timeline below

Documents send same day, delivered next day. Then it took time for them to scan on, sat on it for 14 days did nothing. Chased it up, suddenly printed probably would have been waiting longer if i hadnt chased.
