Tuesday 10th December: Had online interview (via Microsoft Teams), 5 minutes after end of interview had email & text to say application approved
Wednesday 11th December: Passport printed at 1am
Thursday 12th December: Postman delivered passport (also got the documents back in a different envelope-had paid the extra £5 for tracked)

I was really worried that it would take 3 weeks+, especially being so close to the holiday season. I debated using fast track but saw that the waiting times were quick according to this site and decided to chance the standard delivery. Glad I did! If I had gone fast track, I would barely have had the appointment by now!

Very quick!!! I had my passport back 4 days after posting it and I didn’t pay for the fast track service. I paid the extra £5 to have my documents sent back tracked as I had a visa in my old passport that is still valid, and that arrived on the same day.

Passport office staff gave lots of wrong info each time I called there is a hold on all child fast track of 5 days if I had know this I would have tried standard as they actually seemed to come faster
