I am from Bermuda and my application would therefore be considered an overseas one. It took a total of 9 days for the Corby office to receive my supporting documents and to then mail me my new UK passport in Bermuda. I was so impressed with how quick everything was!

Brilliant! Just one week to turn the application around. The only issue was that TNT would only give a 12 hour slot for delivery of the new passport. Why such a long slot when other courier services manage to give a 2 hour window? This means having to wait around for up to a full day in case one were to miss the delivery – find a different courier service!

Submitted over a weekend, so naturally only managed to send the passport off on Monday 26th June. I received receipt of arrival on 27th.
By 30th June it was printed and delivered on Monday 3rd July.

Unfortunately the post office put my date of birth wrong on the application. I rang the passport office and I kept getting different answers so to cover my back I sent a letter and my birth certificate so the correct date was applied to my new passport

I saw a review on here which said further documents were requested as her (mother’s) name was different on child’s birth certificate and her own passport due to marriage. My situation was the same but due to name change via deed poll. Thankfully I saw the review so I was able to send off further documents without waiting to be told to so the passport was able to arrive in 11 days from application.
