I used Royal Mail Special Delivery but the tracking did not work at all, so was left in the dark for a week before the passport office updated my status to documents received. That was the most difficult part as I don’t know if my package was delivered. The process was smooth once the passport office began processing my documents.

PASSPORT HAS GONE MISSING AT TNT UK
Hideous experience. Passport printed on August 2nd. Was apparently scanned by TNT on that day. Now TNT UK cannot locate it.
And really oddly… on my tracking number there is details of another delivery, July 27th when my passport was still in process. And the photo of a different door. That delivery had nothing to do with me, but it is on the tracking details they sent me for my passport.
HMPO will not do anything until TNT logs it as a problem. I am frantic as I have no other means of identification. And I fear identity theft. I have telephone several times that this was going wrong on August 2nd. They just say I have to wait for them. I have logged a Complaint by e-mail, but no reply to that either.
