My supporting documents were received on 9th of March 2023. They were sent, by HMPO, through Post Office special delivery on 6th March 2023. I did not have to sign for them and the envelope was just pushed through the letter box. My Certificate of Naturalisation was creased up and had a small rip in it, as if it had been jammed in the automated feeder of a photocopier. My foreign passport was returned undamaged. It would have been preferable if the documents were returned in a much stronger envelope.

Very easy and quick – great updates throughout the process. I’d recommend using a photo booth with digital code for online applications as it definitely speeds it up! I originally uploaded my own photo which was rejected (although it said it was okay when applying) and went to a photo booth. I sent it off next day delivery and received it back the same way.

Very quick and easy – I used the special delivery to guarantee next day delivery when sending my old passport in to be cancelled. (Sent on the Monday as I sent the electronic application on Saturday night). I received a text Tuesday afternoon to say it had been received. It was approved on the Wednesday and sent/received on Thursday.

Since I have double nationality, I also had to send my foreign passport in my application. They made a big fuss because my name in my foreign passport was spelt with a letter that doesnt exist in the English alphabet. After severall calls to explain this situation they finaly approved my application.
