I’m based in Australia so it took about 1-2 weeks to send the documents to the UK.
I first sent the wrong documents and then had to organise more originals and then re-send.
Once they received the documents it only took a few days to get approved and printed.
Took about a week for DLH to send to Australia

Submitted renewal online on afternoon of 1/3/23, posted my old passport first class sign-for the same day.
Got confirmation of receipt of old passport the following evening 2/3/23
Application approved email on 8/3/23, confirmation it is being printed.
Confirmation it has been printed on 9/3/23 and email from DHL saying expecting it ready for delivery
10/3/23 email from DHL saying it will be delivered today, and it was.

Despite using a passport photo machine approved photo, my application was delayed due to the photo needing manual checking as the digital version was more zoomed in than the printed version which confused the automated system as my hair took up too much of the background.

I took a chance on the standard service, with travel being six weeks away from the submission. Whilst it took longer than the average time quoted on this site, the Hemel Hempstead office did appear slower than others.
