Old passport was received 19/1/23 but Corby office never found it . Several
Phone calls and e mails sent . Finally 6/3/23 was advised to declare it lost and process was restarted. Still no sign of the original and will have to chase for a refund as I paid for it to be returned securely . No offer of any compensation: spent at least a day of my own time chasing.

I found it stressful however I needn’t of worried. Application states to allow up to 10 weeks. However passport received in 11 days. Hadn’t realised that once you put your application in you cannot then upgrade to fast track until you’ve been waiting over 6 weeks. By chance, I look my family passports and noticed my child’s passport was to expire in April and we’re going on holiday on 31 March- sheer panic!! Process was a dream. See below status;
