This is a slightly skewed timeline as I had to send supporting documents and I did so over the bank holiday weekend so it delayed things a little. Had I sent my docs on the same day as my online application, then the process likely would have taken just 20 days (not including the extra time it took as I sent my docs over the BH weekend) which is just under 3 weeks. It was a really quick and seamless process and I have my passport well before I need it for my summer trip. Don’t delay, get it all sent it and I’m sure you’ll be fine.

Overall experience okay, everybody seems to have had their passport printed faster than mine, at crazy hours in the morning too. Not sure why mine wasn’t.

Submitted online late Sunday evening 11th June. Posted old passport special delivery Monday 12th, received confirmation of receipt Wed 14th. Confirmation application approved Monday 19 June, confirmation printed 20th June, received new passport Special delivery Weds 21st June. So 8days from old passport being received, I received my new one. I would recommend using a photo booth gor the photo as you have a code to upload directly onto the application. Overall, excellent seamless service, with text and email updates along the way.
