I live abroad and arrived back in the UK the same day (17th) that the passport strikes were announced on the news. Not much I could do about that given that I was ineligible to book a 1-day renewal and the slots for the 1-week premium service ran out quickly and were listed in locations that would take anywhere between 5-8 hours to get to by train. So did a digital track and send at the post office and received my passport today – quicker and cheaper than if I had gone for a premium service. Even DHL delivered my new passport earlier than they had said they would today.

Super fast renewal, the first photo was rejected and I resubmitted a new one online and it was approved and completed the same day. The whole application was completed online and it took only 11 days to complete and return my new passport so glad I did not pay extra for a faster service.

Old passport posted Monday 20th with Royal Mail guaranteed by 1pm next day but this wasn’t met and not delivered until Wednesday 22nd.
Would have been quicker but Royal Mail didn’t deliver on time as guaranteed.
Was kept up to date via email and text, really easy and quick -no issues following strike action announcement.

I realised I lost my passport in my home recently. I had photo done at max speielman photo booth and applied the next day ONLINE.
My manager verified my photo the next day and 5 days later I was sent email saying my application is approved.
Another day later i received email saying my passport was being printed.
NINE DAYS in total. Not at all stressful and my photo isn’t that bad either!
