Posted old passport in on Monday 12th Feb to Hemel Hempstead, Special Delivery, delivered on Tuesday 13th Feb.
They marked as old one received on Monday 19th Feb.
Application approved 1.45pm 20th Feb.
New Passport Printed 10.50pm 21st Feb.
(I had Royal Mail SMS saying they had the passport at 5pm that day at Southampton Mail Centre!)
Delivered to me at 11am 22nd Feb.
Brilliant service.

Update messages can be a bit delayed ie I sent my documents 13/02 and they were signed for as delivered 14/02 before 1pm but only got an update early morning 16/02 saying documents received. But not bad turnaround, 5 working days. Took my own photo but it took a few days to get it right before I started my application but at least you can try uploading photos to their website to see how acceptable they are.
