Absolutely awful service. Sent everything off on 15th March, my documents were received on 24th and still no update. Finally spoke to someone and not a robot and was told it’s still being processed. Tried to explain there’s people on here that have sent off documents after me, and have already received their passports. To which the very helpful lady replied ‘I doubt that very much’ so all in all and absolutely awful service!!

Quick and easy. Took a while to update they had received my passport, sent on the 28/03 updated they received on 30/3 but knew it was received 24hours prior. Then on 4/4 confirmed my passport application was approved. 2 further days to receive new passport, still awaiting old passport back. Updates was poor from an SMS point was quicker to manually check via weblink.

So my holiday is booked for the end of April, after submitting my application I found out about the strikes which made me even more anxious to get my passport in time, leaving only a few weeks to get it back (admittedly that was my own fault haha)
Took just over a week to get it, so to anyone worrying, don’t listen to the news articles it’s really not as bad as they’re saying.

The most stressful part about the whole process was trying to get an appointment! id recommended following @ukpassportcheck on twitter and putting there notifications on so you can see when appointments go live. Started following on the 2nd and booked my appointment on the 4th for the 5th (of April!) Appointment itself was very quick i’d say about 20mins. Only issue is the fact they use TNT which can be terrible at informing you of the whereabouts of your passport. Albeit i received a text message at 8am on the 12/04/23 saying my passport was out for delivery and it was received at 14:30 that day, so exactly a week after my appointment.
